House of Indonesia was officially opened on May 9, 2024 (1 Dhu Al Qidah 1445) by Mr. Sandiaga Salahhudin Uno, the Indonesian Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy for the 2020 – 2024 term.
The inauguration was attended by all representatives of the Indonesian government in Dubai, including the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to the UAE, Mr. Husein Bagis, and the Consul General of Indonesia in Dubai, Mr. K. Candra Negara.
The opening of this restaurant had been in preparation for a long time, as evidenced by the “House of Indonesia” brand being registered with the Consulate General of Indonesia in Dubai since 2017. It began with the launch of a Mini Outlet at Souq Al Marfa, which eventually grew into a Semi-Fine Dining Restaurant located in Jumeirah Lake Tower, Cluster K, DMCC, Dubai. On November 20, 2023, House of Indonesia entered into a partnership with the Dubai Chamber, further solidifying its commitment to contributing to the Republic of Indonesia. Additionally, on July 19, 2024, House of Indonesia officially joined the Indonesia-UAE Business Council, initiated by the Indonesian government in the UAE to foster relations with all Indonesian companies operating in the UAE.
